German Beer Hall Liter House Officially Open

Liter House, a German-style beer hall from one of Indianapolis’s prominent restaurant groups — Sahm’s — has officially opened in SoBro. Customers can expect a Bavarian menu with influences from Texas BBQ and traditional German beer. Liter House takes over the former Bent Rail Brewery, which closed in late 2017.

The new location may resemble the old Bent Rail Brewery from the outside but the interior brings a fresh look to the space with a major build out that includes an intimate dining room, a brewing space, a developing outdoor garden, an eclectic bar and a barbecue line. Additionally there’s a large private space — perfect for corporate outings and fantasy drafts.
