After enjoying local fame at Farmer’s Markets and plazas around Indianapolis, “Pat’s Philly’s Pretzels” is the latest Indy spot forced to close in the face of financial struggles due to the coronavirus pandemic.
An import from South New Jersey, store owner Pat was responsible for bringing a Philadelphia favorite to Midwestern locals and even serviced local sandwich spot ‘Hoagies and Hops,’ which paid tribute to the pretzel-monger in an Instagram post earlier today.

In his caption, the owner of ‘Hoagies and Hops’ wrote: “We are sad to say that we will not be carrying Pats Philly Pretzels. Due to the shutdown of Covid-19 he has decided to shut his doors for good. I have been buying from him for my entire 4.5 years & I wish him the best of luck. This S.Jersey guy brought us a true Philly tradition here to Indy & we will miss him!! If you are interested in purchasing any oven equipment please DM me. He is looking to sell. Thank you for all who had purchased Pretzels from me and his shop thru the years!”
