Downtown Indianapolis’ King Dough Pizzeria is a crowd-favorite: that’s no secret. What many don’t know, however, is that before it found its footing downtown, the pizzeria enjoyed regular patronage from IU students and Bloomington residents alike at its former Bloomington location.
Late yesterday, the pizzeria announced that after a long hiatus that left Bloomington residents craving, it’s set to reopen its doors again in a revamped manner. Formulating itself as ‘KD Slice Shop,’ the pizzeria is partnering with local brewer Switchyard Brewing to open a slice-forward joint that will bring the pizza ethos of New York to Bloomingtonians!
Focusing on 20″ traditional New York style pies, the eatery plans to premiere its novel concept in July.
