Indy’s famous 24-hour diner Peppy Grill, which operated for more than 70 years in Fountain Square, will soon be on the move.

The IndyStar reports that the building was recently sold to a California-based hot chicken sandwich business, World Famous Hotboys (pictured below) — where they plan to open their third location.

There is currently no word on where they’re moving but a second location at 910 W 10th Street remains opens. Another location, Burt’s Peppy Grill is no longer a part of the company.

The Fountain Square location had been temporarily closed due to COVID-19 regulations, limiting them to just five people inside at a time.

The 10th Street location does not operate around the clock like the Fountain Square location due to the lack students on IUPUI’s campus.
