Indianapolis City Market welcomes new market merchant

Indianapolis, IN — The Indianapolis City Market (222 E. Market St.) welcomes new market house merchant, Big Mouth Biscuits. This will be Big Mouth Biscuits’ second location.

Chef Travis moved to Indy from Dallas, Texas and was looking for a cool biscuit sandwich place to get acquainted with. He didn’t find one so he decided to start one of his own! He launched 28 days later on April Fools Day thanks to Indy’s Kitchen, a shared kitchen incubator. He built the menu based off of his favorites from the many places he’s traveled and took inspiration from family and friends to create the perfect breakfast sandwich joint. Big Mouth Biscuits serves breakfast and lunch. Biscuits are baked fresh every few hours and are served with a variety of fillings such as bacon, egg and cheese, honey butter chicken, hot links, fried pork tenderloin and more.

“We are excited to be joining forces with the community to partner with a historical Indy attraction to help bring attention back to the Indianapolis City Market.” – Travis Zinger

Indianapolis City Market

The Indianapolis City Market’s history is as rich as the promise of its future. When opened in 1886, the market ushered in a new tradition: an open space for the sale of meats and produce, The Original Gathering Place, if you will. Indianapolis City Market is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is a vibrant downtown event destination. Today, the City Market offers patrons an experience that combines the best of both yesterday and today with a wide variety of eateries, retailers, coffee, barbershop and an all Indiana craft beer bar with many merchants offering delivery services. This year the Indianapolis City Market hosts the 25th Annual Original Farmer’s Market running May through October 2021. The Indianapolis City Market Catacombs tours in partnership with Indiana Landmarks runs May through October. The Market features bocce ball courts, cornhole and ample outdoor seating to play and enjoy live music on occasion. www.indycm.com
