Jailbird is closing June 18, citing inconsistent weekend business

This weekend Jailbird announced its closing in an Instagram post with the caption below:

“Friends, this is the post no business wants to make but unfortunately here we are. We have made the decision to wrap thing up here at JB. The realty is that we just don’t have enough consistent weekend business to continue operation. We can pay our bills but treading water is exhausting and at some point you risk drowning. So we are calling it quits this summer.

We alerted our staff a few days ago and because we do things differently we are sticking around a little longer. Our final day of operations will be June 18th. This will give us time to say goodbye to all of you and allow our staff ample time to secure new employment. We are planning some fun events before our last day so keep up with us here on Insta for more details regarding our end date. Until then we will continue serving you beer and burgers, Tuesdays-Saturdays at 4pm! Love all of you and we will see y’all in the coming weeks! It may seem like a sad time but keep in mind…closing doors only mean new ones open. New opportunity and growth are around every corner. Stay blessed! #jailbirdforever
