A new Italian restaurant, Vicino, is expected to open on Mass Ave this April, from the owners of popular brunch destination – The Oakmont.
Vicino, which means neighbor in Italian, will take over the space which was home Kimbal Musk’s Hedge Row American Bistro, which closed in 2020
The Oakmont’s chef, Sean Day, will lead the kitchen at Vicino, after previously running the now-defunct Palomino.
Vicino will source pasta locally from SoBro’s Nicole-Taylor’s Pasta & Market, have an extensive wine list and will use the wood-fired brick ovens that Hedge Row used. The menu is expected to be modern Italian.
