Burgeezy is Indy’s first plant-based burger joint, located at Canal Walk. Burgeezy offers a fully plant-based menu that is Dairy Free, Meat Free, and Egg Free.

Be Nimble Foundation is a 501(c)(3) social enterprise taking a qualitative and quantitative approach to diversifying business ecosystems through entrepreneurship, talent development, community, and capital.

What

Burgeezy celebrates the grand opening of their new restaurant location at Canal Walk.Burgeezy is Indianapolis’ first plant-based burger restaurant, and an alumni of the first cohort of Be Nimble Foundation’s Melon Ghost Kitchen Accelerator program. The one-year fellowship supports business acceleration and digital innovation for diverse founders in the food and beverage industry. Through the program, Burgeezy was awarded two $5,000 grants, access to Melon’s commercial kitchen space located at 16Tech, had access to business development and technical assistance support, and was awarded a $50,000 investment from Be Nimble Foundation’s Nile Capital fund to support the opening of the new location. Burgeezy will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Saturday, September 9th at 2 p.m.

Melon Kitchen is supported by City of Indianapolis, JPMorgan Chase, The Indianapolis Foundation, United Way of Central Indiana, and Glick Philanthropies.The Nile Capital Fund is supported by Cummins, City of Indianapolis, and IMPACT Central Indiana.
