LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Fund for the Arts’ Culinary Initiative Strategic Relief Fund and Rabbit Hole are pleased to announce that $2,500 Culinary Arts Grants will be awarded to five Black-Owned Restaurants in Louisville. The grants are meant to celebrate Louisville’s vibrant culinary institutions and to help them recover from the devastating impacts of COVID-19.
On June 14, 2021 Rabbit Hole unveiled its highly-anticipated Single Barrel release and launched its national Single Barrel Program. At a special launch event held that evening at the Rabbit Hole Distillery in NuLu, all proceeds from the sale of the limited edition “Single Barrel” art bottles were donated to support the Fund’s COVID-19 Restaurant Relief Grants.
Recipients of the Culinary Arts Grants for Black-Owned Restaurants were selected through a nomination process. Community members were invited to nominate local Louisville restaurants that they believed represented the vibrancy of our community’s culinary sector. All grant recipients were chosen from those that were nominated.
