Louisville restauranteurs take a stand against restrictions

In the wake of Governor Beshear’s latest coronavirus-related restrictions, many local restaurants are taking a stand.

Restaurants and bars were ordered to shutdown dine-in operations from Nov. 20 to Dec. 13 — limiting them to takeout and curbside orders.

The Kentucky Restaurant Rescue Coalition, made up on dozens of Louisville restaurant owners, is circulating a petition stating intentions to reopen on Dec. 14 at 50% capacity regardless of restrictions being lifted or not.

The food & beverage industry has been hit hard by COVID with record closings on the local and national level. Owners fear that extended restrictions will put more restaurants and employees in limbo.
