Chicken Salad will host two friends & family events on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13 open to Indy Chamber, first responders, local businesses, school officials and other community officials. These events will benefit local nonprofit Second Helpings.

Update – March 2, 2021

Fast-growing chain Chicken Salad Chick is opening four locations in the Indy-area over the next several months — the first being March 16th in the Pyramid Place Shopping Center.

Chicken Salad Chick will also be opening locations at Glendale Town Center, in Fishers near The Yard and next to the Kroger Marketplace in Greenwood over the next several months.

The chain started when founder Stacy Brown started selling her famous chicken salad door-to-door, dropping samples at teacher’s lounge and local hair salons and inviting people into her home. Demand was through the roof and the health department told her it was illegal to operate out of her home.

In response, Brown and her husband Kevin opened a carryout only location in 2008. Nowadays Chicken Salad Chick has nearly 180 locations in 17 states.

The menu is made of 12 different chicken salads broken into four categories — traditional, savory, fruity & nutty and spicy. There’s also some rotating seasonal options. Each salad comes in either a sandwich or served with crackers.

Chicken Salad Chick will be open 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
