Indianapolis, IN — (Oct. 20, 2021) Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, based in Northbrook, IL, is expanding in the Indianapolis area.  The famous deep dish pizzeria will open the doors to its newest location at 6320 Ferguson St., Indianapolis, on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 4 p.m. Located adjacent to the Fresh Thyme Market in the Broad Ripple neighborhood, the pizzeria is situated north of the Central Canal Trail and is an ideal location for deep dish dining in the village.

The 5,600 square foot space will seat approximately 160 guests and will be the company’s first full-service restaurant and bar with dine-in, carryout and delivery service in Central Indiana. The Broad Ripple pizzeria will join carryout and delivery locations that opened on West 86th Street in March 2021 and Carmel in October 2020. The new space will include a dining room, full-service bar and outdoor patio with generous seating. It also features a separate entry for carryout with ample parking. The restaurant will offer easy curbside pick-up, no-contact delivery, and drop-off catering services for hungry fans in the Broad Ripple area.

While the menu is highlighted by the legendary deep dish pizza, it also offers thin crust pizza along with delicious appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts. A roller coaster design over the booths and carnival theme pay homage to the former early 1900’s amusement park, that was located in what is now Broad Ripple Park. The restaurant’s atmosphere has a modern farmhouse vibe, with vintage murals that accent the walls and festival décor throughout. Restaurant hours will be available online at www.loumalnatis.com/indiana.

Additionally, Malnati’s will hire approximately 140 local employees between kitchen crew, phone staff and delivery drivers. The company is now hiring for various positions online and holding open interview events at the store. Interested applicants are asked to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States, if applicable. Qualified candidates may also apply online at www.loumalnatis.com/careers or by texting “Lous” to 242424.

The Malnati family has become famous for their original recipe, top-notch quality and hospitality since opening in 1971. Currently, the business is headed by Marc Malnati, Lou Malnati’s son, and he proudly carries on the family tradition. The organization also has several local ties to Indiana University, Purdue University and Butler University, including Marc Malnati, owner of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Heather Stege, president of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Mike Archer, CEO of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, and other proud Hoosiers, graduates and supporters within the company.

While these have been challenging times, the company looks forward to opening a new restaurant in Indianapolis.  “We’re excited to bring our authentic deep dish pizza to the Broad Ripple neighborhood and open our first full-service restaurant in the Indianapolis area,” said Marc Malnati, owner of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria.  “We feel fortunate to be expanding during these unprecedented times and our team is thrilled to become part of the vibrant and thriving Broad Ripple village. We’re committed to providing jobs at our restaurants and supporting the local community with Hoosier hospitality,” added Malnati.

In addition to serving up their famous deep dish, Lou Malnati’s is also well known for giving back to the local communities they serve. The company frequently supports local charities and schools through fundraisers and volunteer involvement. The pizzeria looks forward to supporting local events in the community and recently participated in the Broad Ripple Duck Race in August 2021.
