An Instagram post Friday announced the distillery with the following message,

This is a long one, if you’d like to know specifics read on, TLDR:
? @jamiefahrner and I have started a craft spirits distillery & cocktail company with our good friend Nick Traeger.
? It is called… Hi & Mighty
? It will be located in Indy on the Indiana State Fairgrounds campus
? Our first products will be launching this spring!
? ORIGIN STORY ? The seeds of this business were planted in 2013 when Jamie & I traveled to Italy with our 7 month old babe (now 9yo). While staying with friends, we noticed the people were so welcoming & celebratory, but not just about big occasions… they celebrated everything! We wanted to bring this spirit home with us so we decided “celebration” would be our core family value.
Fast forward: we have 4 boys, an amazing community, and a lot to be grateful for. We’ve long wanted to start a family business and our hobby of making cocktails became a clear & perfect intersection for us. Knowing we couldn’t do it alone, we enlisted uber talented chef, musician & friend @nwtraeger to join us on this journey. He said yes, and away we went!
? HI & MIGHTY ? The brand is a salute to all of us out there doing our best. Life is hard & unpredictable so we can’t wait for the big promotion, graduation, bday, etc. to celebrate. We can be grateful for the little wins too… time with dear friends, potty training, weekends. HI & Mighty is a salute to the big AND small gifts of life that warrant celebration!
? LOCATION ? We’ve found a home in our neighborhood in a historic building at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. We are grateful to partner w/ @indystatefair to bring our dream to life, provide their event goers an oasis, and host our people in a place rich w/ local history. Construction is starting on a full scale distillery, bar (tours + food + to go cocktails), and booze garden this spring. We don’t have an open date yet, but will post updates here + our email list.
