California-based home furnishing chain RH, formerly known as Restoration Hardware, is planning to redevelop the Christel DeHaan estate.

The estate, Linden House, will have a high-end restaurant on the first floor of the mansion with terrace dining, according to plans.

Last year the retailer opened a 60,000 ft.² store at Oakbrook Center in Chicago that included a glass-enclosed rooftop restaurant and wine bar (pictured above).

If estate plans are approved, RH would like to open the new development mid-2023. The Fashion Mall location would also eventually close.

The rest of the the estate would be turned into a home furnishings showroom, interior design gallery and outdoor furniture gallery.
