This chicken’s got drip! A person with drip is the most stylish and saucy person in the room, and the food at Naptown Hot Chicken brings the word’s definition to a whole new level!
Naptown Hot Chicken is a new locally owned and veteran-owned restaurant that officially opened at the Indianapolis City Market at 222 E Market St. Indianapolis, IN on Thursday, May 26.
For their grand opening, they were a featured vendor during the Memorial Daycation party, and next you can find them at the Indy Chicken & Beer Festival on Saturday, August 6.
This is hot chicken, but with soul! At Naptown Hot Chicken, soul, flavor, and drip come together to create vibrant recipes ready to satisfy your taste buds.
The concept of Naptown Hot Chicken came to life when Indianapolis-born owner David Brown decided that the city needed a place where chicken sandwiches and strips are accompanied by top tier dips, giving people an elite sauce experience.
“Hence the name, we wanted to create something for Naptown, by Naptown,” Brown said. “I know that people love flavorful sauces to drip on their food. The drip experience is what makes our food fun and sets us apart from the style of hot chicken found in other cities.”
Naptown Hot Chicken’s mission is to give the Indianapolis community a restaurant experience that makes them take pride in their city and the amazing things it stands for. It will also give people from out of town a unique experience they can’t currently have anywhere but here.
“Indianapolis has a thriving food scene that’s only getting better,” Brown said. “We’re bringing a new flavor to the city and have potential to become a new landmark and hot spot destination for both our local community and visitors. We want Naptown Hot Chicken to be the warmest welcome to Indy people ever experience.”
What sets Naptown Hot Chicken apart from the competition is the fact that all their sauces are custom made and they push the experience more than simply getting food.
“When people go to a restaurant and spend their hard-earned money they want to go to a place where they’re going to have a fun experience, where they’re going to laugh and feel good energy all while enjoying spectacular food,” Brown said.
The Naptown Hot Chicken menu isn’t limited to its sandwiches and strips. They also have a variety of colorful entrees. For example, their Nap Fries feature chopped tenders over a bed of fries with their Naptown Blend Seasoning, melted Cajun cheddar, topped with Nap Sauce at your choice of heat level. They also have several soulful sides including Spanish sweet corn, mac & cheese, and fried okra. Then you can top your meal off with their homemade banana pudding for dessert.
Brown says his biggest goals are to build and give back to the community, give employees a fun and positive work environment, and to accomplish all of that while giving great customer service.
In the future, Naptown Hot Chicken is set to open at least four more Indiana locations within the next two years and to begin franchising across the country.
All customers are encouraged to join the “Drip Club.” That allows you to earn rewards points towards coupons, first notice of anything new that comes to Naptown Hot Chicken’s menu, store and more.
